Oregon Jamboree Opens Submissions for 2025 Battle of the Bands
Sweet Home, Oregon (March 18, 2025) – The Oregon Jamboree is thrilled to announce that submissions are now oepn for the 2025 Battle of the Bands comeptition. This annual event offers emerging bands a platform to showcase their talents and compete for a coveted performance slot at the Oregon Jamboree Music Festival, scheduled for August 1-3, 2025.
Competition Overview:
The Battle of the Bands is a highlight of the Oregon Jamboree’s Tune It Up Tuesday’s, a series dedicated to bringing live music and classic cars to downtown Sweet Home throughout June. Each Tuesday evening, a different band will take the stage, vying for the opportunity to perform at the festival.
Key Dates:
- Submission Deadline: Friday, April 25, 2025
- Semi-Finalist Announcement: Thursday, May 1, 2025
- Tune It Up Tuesday Performances: Every Tuesday in June 2025
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bands must consist of two or more instruments.
- Artists who have performed at the Oregon Jamboree within the past three years are ineligible.
- The competition is open to musicians of all ages.
Application Process: Interested bands are invited to complete the online entry form and submit performance videos by April 25, 2025. Semi-finalists will be selected and announced on May 1, 2025. These bands will perform during Tune It Up Tuesdays in June, with each act receiving $1,000 stipend, a 90-minute performance slot, and twelve 3-day general admission passes to the 2025 Oregon Jamboree.
Grand Prize: The competition’s champion will receive an additional $1,000 and the opportunity to:
- Performn on Saturday, August 2, 2025, opening the Park Stage presented by Siegfried Contract Cutting.
- Secure a slot opening the main stage of the 2026 Oregon Jamboree.
